I just had a conversation with one of the people from the danish medicines agancy, and it turns out that nikotine is classified as a medicine, and since e-cigs contains pure nikotine the E-cigs is classified as a medicine. And as a medine it HAS to be aproved before it is legal to sell or buy.

Hi again, I got my second answer from the Danish Medicines Agency and it seems they have classified e-cigs as a medical device no matter what... They refer to §2 from "lægemiddelloven" (the law of medical suplies??). Here is a link to that...

another thing.. Some sites claim their cigarette is CE aproved which is a european aproval for products. And as far as I know it cant be ilegal if its CE aproved. Do any of you have a link to something that can prove this CE aproval?? I can see the jpg's on some sites selling it, f.x. here...

I agree that it would be nice to have some sort of regulation. But I dont think it should be sold as medicine. It should undergo some rules though. f.x. as mentioned elsewhere, we should know the ingredient list, we should know what kind of plastic we put in our mouth and there should be an...

Well, I havent seen the ads that were closed but I have talked to a guy who sold them and I dont think he sold it as a cessation device. I also pointed out in my answer to their answer that I would be interrested in selling it as a medical device. We will see what their reply will be.

The reason I ask THAT department is because they are closing down selling ads in the biggest online auction in Denmark. Same as ebay, just for danes.

27.th of august was the first time I e-smoked. 2 days later I quit cigs alltogether.. So from august 29 untill now I havent touched a tobacco product. :)
