based on my experience, a twist should last you at least a year maybe longer . I am very hard on my batteries.
the stripped threads is my fault . although that particular battery did come kind of warped 510 connection . I should have returned it but didn't . one disadvantage of ego is that...
Ha. Great to see this thread is still around, although I haven't been here in a while.
So an update: since I first started this thread, I've used nothing but twists - 4 of them to be exact - every day. But, sadly down to my last functioning one (which is fine for $25 they worked most of 2012...
Sure you will be fine with the evic - it does look cool. However, the provari design is not Chinese influenced. It's USA made. It is the grand daddy of VV mods. Tube mods are a USA invention. The Chinese then started making them once they got popular.
One alternative I didn't see anyone...
So, I just ripped apart the 1.8 ohm head on my vivi. I've been vaping dark juice exclusively on it. Noticed this morning it was not performing as well as it had been so I swapped it out with the 2.8 ohm head.
My findings: First, when I pulled it apart the coils were caked with gunk (carbon...
So here's a horror show waiting to happen: my last boge carto is on my twist. I've got 15 ml of juice left. It's 2 am Thursday. On the way is 2 more twists, 4 boxes of cartos and 60 ml of juice. Due here Saturday if the post office does it's job. I go away Sunday for 2 weeks. Looking like a...
Just checking in...as the OP, I never intended for this to be provari vs twist or lavatube vs twist debate. My main point was that the twist may put pressure on those higher end (especially the LT. Maybe not the ProVari) mods to come down a bit in price as the twist grabs those folks who would...
I don't think anyone is offering a kit with a twist in it yet. I'd just have them get 1 650 mah battery ($25), box of cartos ($7), charger ($7), bottle of juice ($7) to try it out. If they like vaping they can add another twist or get a kit if they come out with one.
Key point:
"if I was arriving on the scene now, there is no way I would go for one of those huge and expensive devices with removable batteries and big charger."
I think there's a lot of folks who would agree (myself included) and that's why "new" vapers may not be inclined to upgrade to...
Wow. Thread is taking on a life of its own. Cool. great comments (both pro and con) everyone.
Just wanted to put a couple points out there.
first, someone (sorry but I'm at work and don't really have to time to properly attribute you) said :"200 bucks at one time on a decent PV seems hard...
Have to say these twist batteries are amazing. Game changer.
On a seperate topic, does anyone know of a "cap" that will fit the ego threads and will allow you to store a carto/atty under it?
I think you make a good point with the the statement "unassuming" because that's what the twist is.
At first I think there are going to be 2 camps: folks who recognize the value and potential of the twist and those who don't. "twisties" are going to realize that it's worth giving up big...
There at least 2 other good threads active right now on the twist (one of which I started so excuse the self promotion)
They are called
