Well reiki is just lying down while someone fixes your chakras. Yeah it's all 'chi' and 'energy' and stuff, but it works.
And Qigong has a sitting portion designed for the ill and wounded. The specific practice is called '8 pieces of brocade' and there are books and DVDS; the standing one is strenuous, but the sitting form is managable, while still expanding your mobility.

Have you tried any eastern remedies? I've heard great things about reiki with RSD; I actually learned reiki from a woman who's been treating her own MS for about 20 years.

And for general joint/respiratory/etc health, Qigong is brilliant. It's like yoga, only a lot more focused; less wasteful movements

I've got Fibro, a messed up back and hypothyroidism so I know from whence you come! It's why I do private duty now cause I just can't keep up...and my meds make it impossible for me to take care of more than one person at a time...heck I can hardly take care of my self and family! Yes we will have to talk shop some soon!
