Hi! New here. Just a wild guess here: could it be that the power pack feeds an AC current into the atomizer that both increases the RMS voltage and augments the frequency of the piezoelectric vibrations closer towards resonance? Seems that this could work if you don't mind sacrificing the vacuum...
