I do realize that, hence my 'quotations.'
Anyways, it's the suppliers who could be fined, not the consumers. I am not too inclined to catastrophize.
This whole thing will be a mere setback. Look, it took the pharmaceuticals quite a long time to come to their dominant position on the totem...
I wish I could agree with you, but we're a little late to keep it off the radar. So, we need to look at how to fight this fight. I know the tobacco companies have tons of money, and pharmaceuticals do too, but that doesn't mean we can't try to have our voices heard. Jumping through regulatory...
Cymri, I think you make a good arguement. Unfortunately, I fear we will lose involvement if we try to tackle the FDA on the grounds which you mention. I agree that such an arguement is practical, but the people on this forum tend to care about personal vaporizers because this is the issue that...
....I had no idea.
I can understand banning smoking because it has adverse effects on those around the smoker. But at this point, it is a direct assult on personal choice. I am surprised no one has sued anyone for forbiding smoke-free alternatives.
Well, they can't ban tobacco, they can only ban smoking it. No one will try to tell you you cannot chew tobacco on an airplane or in a theatre. So if personal vaporizers are regulated as tobacco, I don't think it would have a major impact except that it would avoid the "drug" regulations...
Patrick,
Thank you, those efforts should help a lot. I am curious, though, if you might consider the name of your business a little risky. "Healthy" and "smoke" won't look good side-by-side to many. You might consider having that url re-direct to a new page that does not include the word...
An online poll? Hmm... Could be risky, what if the anti's turn it against us? They could have every jr. high schooler in the nation voting against us with a Truth commercial.
Any chance of the association putting a percentage of sales into a legal fund/research and development in order to get these legit? IF a start-up company could start marketing these with FDA approval, it might be possible to put big tobacco in the backseat and setback a portion of big pharm.
Krakkan, I have acknowledged your efforts and given you kudos from the get go. I'm sorry if my critical note outweighed my congrats!
I am glad to hear about you guys banding together. I hope it works in everybody's best interest.
Most of all, I appreciate all of you suppliers that take...
I may have made a mistake. I looked at your website before posting my reply. Only after reading your most recent post did I find the link you were talking about. I even clicked the "About Me" link on my last visit, so I am not entirely sure how I missed it.
I have no problem with suppliers...
I posted the following in the supplier's forum:
I think we need to be aware of and make efforts to support suppliers that are helping our cause.
Cheers,
-Mickey
