I second that - once I started modding, I never looked back. Never did get consistent hits on the DSE901/RN4075 with OEM batteries or USB passthrough, and I still craved analogs. The DSE801 penstyle manual switch was an improvement, but it was still finicky enough that I wasn't completely off...
