The judge ordered that the Amicus Curiae submitted by ASH in support of the FDA also be granted. It was a combined motion granting for Leave to Submit on both briefs filed by ASH and AES. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just fair play, IMO.

As most of you already know from Sun's SE v. FDA thread - Judge Leon passed down a ruling today in favor of the SE & NJOY motions for preliminary injunction. In addtion to this ruling, the judge also granted the Amicus Curiae filed by the AES, Alliance of Electronic Smokers, as outlined earlier...

I think Thulium might be referring to the long battle between the FDA and LEF (Life Extension Foundation) in the late 80's to early 90's. From what I read it was a nasty stand with guns and all. Ultimately, LEF became the first company to offer pharmaceutical-grade Melatonin.
