Am I the only "Drunk" here???

Congratulations Drew. I haven't been around as much as I used to either, but my attention was caught by the possible ban on nicotine liquids in the UK in June which seems to have come out of nowhere. On a more personal note I also had an anniversary, 23 years on Tuesday, a day at a time - in...

    Hockney calls for 'smoking rooms'

I'm sure I have recently read somewhere that Ryanair will be allowing e-cigs on their flights - or have I just made this up?

    Rant-Must speak Spanish

Esperanto - spoken by around 2 million people - an international language which somehow has never quite taken off - good idea though.

how did you learn about e-cigs

A thread on the UK Ebay discussion forum September last year, wondering what e-cigs were, and then someone posted a link to this site. Considerably smaller then and easier to navigate I quickly found the information I needed and that was the beginning.

    Edmonton Members

Thank you for the kind invitation and I wish I could be of use - but you must have picked my name up from a thread where I mentioned Edmonton - in that I lived there for seven years in Griesbach Barracks and left for England in 1958..............sorry.

Well, I've decided to take my Janty Stick up with me, haven't seen anyone else smoke yet - can't all be non-smokers - perhaps they just don't want to be heckled.

    OMG houseguests and wild children

Oh I feel for you what an invasion of your home. Benjamin Franklin had it right when he said 'guests, like fish, begin to smell after three days'.............

Are we shooting ourselves in the foot by using the term 'E Cigarette'?

Yes, I agree about them looking like a real cigarette and I suspect like many newcomers, I originally chose the supermini precisely for that reason when I started and before I found this forum. But as we require longer battery power we are already seeing the next generation, the SD, GG...

Are we shooting ourselves in the foot by using the term 'E Cigarette'?

Agreed, I have never used it and your description of 'angular and crude' is how I also see the word; I find it very awkward and contrived. I remember seeing lists of synonyms, might have been from Kate, some while ago and nothing leapt out as a viable alternative.

My supermarket is having an "American food week"

A few years back when Marks & Spencer had a small food store in Victoria (or Vancouver, can't remember which) I bought some of the smaller food items, biscuits (cookies to you), small cakes, some pastry things, crisps (chips to you) just to compare with how I know they taste in the UK. They were...

born in the 60's or 70's

I'm a baby boomer from the late 40s, but boy am I glad my children were 70s kids who managed to get through their childhood and education before the government came down with it's heavy hand.
