"Alcoholic drink" was intentionally used as an example to make a mental point of reference that distinguishes the difference between damage that is done by those who drink, and those who use e-cigs.

And yes, it was difficult not to write a ten-page letter explaining everything there is to know about e-cigs. It took days of thought to shorten it to a length that someone might read. (And I do hate referring to my life-saving nicotine delivery device as a 'cigarette'. I used the term...

I'm very pleased that others here appreciate my efforts. As I said in the OP, I already emailed the letter to those who might have a decision to make about electronic cigarettes. I should have posted it here first to get this constructive criticism first! I cannot change what I sent to them...
