Pros
  • Waterproof
  • Dustproof
  • Extremely Durable
Cons
  • Battery door
This mod is the definition of durable. I work in a bottle exchange so obviously concrete floors and pavement aren't exactly kind to most box mods. The amount of times my mod has fallen out of my pocket and broken the glass on my tank is fairly high until I brought the Aegis I highly recommend it.
Pros
  • Water Resistant, Ergonomic Design
Cons
  • Fragile battery door button, weak battery door latch , uncomfortable fire button feel
Purchased my Aegis Legend for its reported durability and design. After about 3 months of regular use (never dropped), the battery door button came off; however, I could still open the battery door using a pen tip. About 4 weeks later, the locking latch holding the battery door closed failed. The molded plastic retainer holding the locking latch failed. As the Legend was just my latest mod to experience battery door issues (Tesla Steampunk, Smoke Alien, and Sigelei 213W all had issues with the battery door) I have switched to mods with magnetic side covers.

Here's a thought. What about a design that utilizes a battery magazine concept much like magazines used for firearms. Keep a spare battery mag with your mod. When the batteries are discharged, just press a release button, eject the spent battery mag, and pop in a fully charged mag.

Not sure I’m buying the never dropped thing but I suppose it’s possible. In any case dropping or not dropping shouldn’t cause that.
It would take a major manufacturing error that got by quality control to do it.
There are 4 Allen key screws on the inside bottom of the door which if removed, should expose the broken bits.

We are really sorry for the problem. Please take some pictures of product to show the problem, then send them to support@geekvape.com.
Have you ever accidentally dropped your mod on the floor? The battery door bursts open and the batteries fly out. The door clip is damaged and from then on makes only spotty contact. The screen might be cracked. The 510 connector is bent. Some internal component is rattling around. It might even stop working entirely. It's just never the same. Why does this happen? Accidents will happen, so why are most mods still built from fragile materials?

I figured some manufacturer must be aware of this niche. Few are, but then I learned about the Geekvape and the Aegis. The original could survive being run over by a truck. Geekvape were just completing production on the next generation model, the Aegis Legend 200W. I pre-ordered mine and received it in June of 2018, about 9 months ago. It's lived up to all of my expectations. In that time I've dropped it on concrete, ice, and laminate floors and it practically bounces. And it still performs like new.

Things I love:
  • the battery door has a sturdy metal deadbolt
  • sturdy fire button with no hesitation or rattle
  • all settings persist when the batteries are changed, including the lock setting
  • the rubberized grip on all the edges makes it easy to grab and hold firmly in your hand
  • it feels like a trustworthy tool and not like a delicate electronic gadget
The Legend shines in variable wattage "power" mode. Find your sweet spot and lock in.
The TC is middling and not suited for general purpose use at high wattages. It probably works best with Geekvape's prebuilt Alpha mesh coil assemblies. However, even in power mode, the TC-awareness allows the mod to adapt to variable coil resistance while firing.

The battery compartment is a thing of beauty. The tolerances are so fine that I even have to remove the new battery identifying stickers to get them to slide in smoothly. When you shake it, nothing rattles.
The mod also dustproof and waterproof. People take this thing hot tubbing, and to the beach.

It weighs 200g empty, 295g with batteries installed, and 365g (4/5ths lb) with topper and juice.

I like it with Geekvape's Zeus leak-proof top-airflow RTAs. What a great combination of high performance and hassle-free components. For all the abuse mine's taken, it still looks new.

The Aegis 200W Legend is worth more than the price. Shock Proof, Drop Proof AND Water Proof. Has that Otterbox feel which is very important to me due to severe nerve damage in my right shoulder and my right hand goes numb with no warning. More than enough power. I did a 3 week research on various Mods and this kept coming up in the top 5 out of all searches. I researched this Aegis for a week and made my decision. Advice: When you get it home be sure to go to the Geekvape website and update the firmware. It is for your battery life. This mod is perfect for the Freemax Mesh Pro tanks...

Pros
  • Grip, ergos, fast firing.
Cons
  • Mine bricked and is being replaced.
I had this mod for a few weeks before it bricked. Must be a bad device feom the manufacturer. I'm working out replacement options with my retailer now, but the mod itself is beast. I was told the Geekvape NOVA 200 and the Aegis Legend 200 share the exact same "AS" computer chip so besides 2A USB charging and design details, the dast firing is the same. I can't imagine a faster firing 2x18650 VW TC box mod. I use Sony VTC5D and Samsung 20S batteries with an external charger at 1A per cell. The latest update is a must have immediately because it increases the battery life tremendously. I don't use the USB charger because there cannot be an average size tank on top AND there is only one included wire that fits into the tight port. I use Horizon Falcon Resin .16 ohm M2 mesh coils at ~70W and Freemax Mesh Pro .15 ohm Triple Mesh coils at ~100W. With the 98W+ .15 ohm coils I stick with Samsung 20S because they are best for long lasting power. The average user will do fine with VTC5A or any 25 amp batteries. It's comfy in one hand and hard to feel like you will fumble. Great ergos and chipset. Anything better would likely include software and pricey chipsets. I use Wattage/Power Mode only and the VPC is awesome. BYPASS mode makes a mech mod out of the device but I don't use that feature. I can't comment on TC, but I will say besides my defective model, this is an all day and everyday vaporizer. High end. Nevermind the NOVA.

Pros
  • Indestructible!!!
  • Well made
  • Comfortable to hold
  • Easy to use.....
Cons
  • Getting the charging cable plugged in
  • The battery door is tight....at least the first few times....
I received this kit for review from @Geekvape_official Thank you!!

I love this mod right out of the box……...yes it is a little heavy…. Because it is covered with a silicone rubber case….. That is what makes it “indestructible”....when it falls the mod will be protected…..I have however noticed that the silicone is a little loose at the top….(see photo)...

It works like a champ…. Quick firing time…. It does however have a couple seconds delay when turning it on…..I didn’t really test it out to see about how waterproof it is (there’s enough videos out there already)…. But I did take it to the beach last weekend and there was some spray happening around me and it still worked just as expected….. YAY…..I plan to keep this one around for going to the waterfront this summer…. Actually I have been using is daily with my ADV…. The batteries last almost all day for me running about 50 W……

The Agro tank:

This tank is really nice…. I love the mesh coil…..and this is my first bubble glass tank…. I really like it…. It’s a top fill with a simple ¼ turn of the cap….. It has 2 wide openings for easy fill…. It’s a smooth vape (with my usual cotton candy max VG).....It fits perfectly on the Aegis mod with room to spare….

The Aegis Mod…..

It’s an excellent mod with all the bells & whistles we have all come to expect…. It works perfectly and even seems to read the coils accurately…..
