  • Yours was one of the first threads that I read. I love reading your blog now. I have been vaping for over a month now and it says you are a Super Member on your profile and I just want you to know that you are Super to me!
Hi Lolady, nice to meet you, how long have you been vaping? It will be a year on the 15th of July for me. I wouldn't go back to analogs for anything! I am a juice junky tho, have bought so much that I think some will expire before I get to them. I use an e-go and love them. Been thinking about trying a mod but not sure which one I want to try. Going to the Vegas Vapefest in Sept, so might wait to see what all they have when I get there and maybe there will be specials. Are you going to Vegas for the Vapefest?
Just wanted to say Hi and how much I've enjoyed reading your adventures into the world of pv's. You are so much fun to read, I had to subscribe to your blog. I also like the way you bring out the best in people- that is one heck of a talent. May your ecig always glow bright & all your nic juice always be flavorful!
Hi lol, Thanks for being my friend. I, too, am a lol, retired nurse and 71yo. I think I was about 10 or so when I tried my first cig. Have been smoking for 55 years and was up to about four packs a day after I retired. Got my first ecig on March 10,2011 and loved it. No more cigs for me. Got my daughter to start ecigs and she loves it as well but still smokes a cig once in a while.
Love your sense of humor and can so relate to some of the things that you said about how things used to be. I miss the 40's and 50's when life was so easy and so good.
If I can help you in any way please let me know.
    Love and hugs,
    Nina
    Hi -lol-
I loved your post! I just wanted to let you know I am just getting started too, I got my very first kit today, the Riva 901, one for me and one for my husband too, and I can emphasize about all the confusion involved! SHEW! I am thinking it is definitely worth it, tho! Take care! And I am here for moral support, if I can't offer knowledge, LOL

Thank you so much for accepting my request. Its an honor to be friends with a fellow word warrior although my wording pales in comparison to your eloquence. Its a pleasure to have you grace us with your company in our little corner of the internet. :)
Hi -lol-, so glad the e-cigs seem to be working for you. I haven't quit smoking completely yet either...I did for about a week, but I bought a pack on Friday after work to celebrate! So that didn't quite work the way I'd hoped. But like you, I'm working on changing my internal rhythms slowly...then one day when I finally DO stop smoking, I'm really hoping my rhythms (cravings, needs, wants, whatever) won't even notice! Since you have the KR808D-1 as well, so please PM me if you need anything.
Greetings LOL! What a wonderful witty sense of humor you have! I would buy your book!
I was a pack+ a day almost 40 yr smoker when I picked picked up my little mini cig from the post office (not a recommendation, just a fact) the next day I found this wonderful sub culture, and started to learn. I knew I was doing something wrong cause it tasted so bad! My motivation was $$$ and never thought I would ever give up, or even wanted to. I choked down those last 2 ciggs from that pack 3 weeks later, cause I couldn't bare throwing them away! And I haven't bought or had any since. That's not to say I don't think about it alot, but the taste is really off putting, be like trying to teach myself to smoke all over again! Just to let you know, I'm getting what your getting, have we decided yet?
Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. where I got my kit! The liquid used in an e-cig contains:

USP-grade PG (Propylene Glycol) - used in food flavorings, cosmetics, asthma inhalers, and artificial 'smoke' at rock concerts. NOTE: Some people are allergic to PG (e.g., a rash or sore throat). They should use...

Or USP-grade VG (Vegetable Glycerin - more syrupy, and derived from veggies). PG generates somewhat more flavor and throat hit; VG produces more vapor. Cignot carries both PG and VG based e-liquid.

Plus a selectable amount of nicotine (derived from tobacco) or no nicotine at all.

Plus flavoring (derived from different types of tobacco and/or food/candy flavorings).

For additional basic information about e-cigarettes and e-liquid, see Parts 1, 2, and 3 of my Wonderful World of Vaping Illustrated Guide on Vapers Forum.
I would start with a Joye Ego-T or a 510-T the t stands for a tank way better taste and vape then the cartridges. u could just get the 510-t kit and be setup for tanks for 50$. I use a 25% pg/ 75% Vg mixture 12mg but was only a pack a day smoker Id suggest 24mg nicotine. And would also recommend the 510-t if u want a ciggeratte sized PV or the Ego-t but its a little bigger like a small cigar. people say they dont get good battery life out of the 510 but I have been getting 12hrs out of one of mine u will probably get less but with the kit u get two batteries to always have one charged! Heres a couple links with good info! UnSmoke. Save Money. Smell better.
