Hey Ron,
Built the Evercool Variable Volt Mod today. Used 2 14500 bats with the TI PTR08100W regulator. Used the 5a horn style switch from madvapes and a 3XAA box from them also. Also used to 100uf16v Tantalum Caps and one 220ohm resistor. Also used a 200ohm thumbwheel trimmer resistor to adjust the voltage and an 3mm LED with a 220ohm resistor hooked up to it. Using a voltage meter hooked straight to the battery connector I was showing 3.2v at the lowest setting and 6.2v at the highest. I know the atty would register differently under load but I don't have one of those fancy devices yet. All in all I will say that VV is a huge waste of my time so far. It took me twice as long to build this box over a 5v version and the vape is no better than my 5v box.
