  • I salute your husband as a fellow tanker yanker! I love cats, they are so easy to maintain. Unfortunately my wife and daughter love little toy Pomeranian's which I am subsequently forced to endure. They are barky little things that drive me out of my ever loving mind. Sweet little creatures for the most part but they annoy me to no end. My wife thinks it's funny, lol. Tell Jack hi from me, I never make it out west anymore but I haul mostly solvents, surfactants, acids, and food grade ethyl alcohol, PG, and mineral oil in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama now. You sound like you have a nice family of kitties, the best of luck to you and yours!

    Rest of the post:
When I was a kid, I had as many as 17 cats at one time. My dad hates cats, so we had to bring the herd down to 8 or less. Now I'm married to a man that doesn't like cats! So, it IS nice to meet another cat person! lol
BTW, my hubby, Jack drives tank trucks hauling water for the oil field industry, re: your other post.
    :D
I'll post a pic of Tyker somewheres....

Oh wow! I have black Bombay too! No kidding. I don't know if he's "full blood" or not because he showed up in my yard at around 3 months old, wounded and nothing but a skeleton and 100% feral. With a little help from my kitten, we managed to "trick" him into coming through the door during a rain storm. After several months, he finally warmed up to humans (he loved me from day one, of course) and became one of the family.
    I've also got:
Puss, 17yr. old B&W DLH female
Pilchard, 10yr. old LH marmalade tabby male (17lbs!)
Flower, 5yr. old black DLH female (also a rescue and bottle baby)
Poppet, 3yr. old grey and white huntress that weighs 5lbs, but "contributes" more than all of the other's put together!
    Tyker, my "Bombay" (12.8lbs!)
Dozer, 10 month old grey tabby male that was also a bottle baby.
Hi :)... Yes I do, I have had cats in the my households all my life. My Mother was a cat person. We had two of them while I was a child, both of them had completely different personalities. I loved them both. Currently my wife and I have two Bombay panthers.. a misnomer I think but they are both totally black, pantherish in looks and both as different as the two I grew up with. One (Zephyr) is an affectionate neutered male cat, a people person lap cat that is content to be petted constantly. The other one (Phoenix), a spayed female, is not a people person cat per se, does not like any strangers. She is a prototypical huntress, hates being indoors and while accepting affection when she is in the mood for it prefers to not be held. She will on occasion bring you one of her recent kills, usually a lizard or a mouse in what I guess is an attempt to show that she contributes to our welfare. :)

I love cats, nice to meet another cat person

    Hi!
Do you have cats or is that just your "name"?
Probably a silly question, but I've got SIX cats and anyone with "cats" in their name is cool by me.
    Have a great day!
