It's pretty fun I think
Kind of like a 3d game...but it's more social...you interact with other avitars via text chat or in some place via voice if you like.
Examples of stuff to do on there:
Tour a virtual museum...
Attend conferences and workshops...
Hang out in virtual clubs and listen to the music stream while chatting (sometimes the streams are live performers)...
Build stuff...
shop...well, for virtual goodies...
Some folks even earn real money on there by making clothes and stuff for the avitars. It has a currency that can be exchanged back and forth to real cash.
At first lots of casinos and stuff were on there...folks used it to 'gamble' with 'real money' in virtual casinos and stuff...but all that has been cut out now.
Anways...endless stuff to explore and people to meet on there
