Cool!!! I think you will need to get yourself a soldering iron and some solder and wire and just start practicing. With electronic components, heat kills .. so you will need to get your technique down ..
Perhaps the best way to get started is with an 8 buck madvapes kit .. comes with all the parts and will give you good education. And if you screw it up completely, you aren't out much.
