  • I was doing the travelling thing around then.

Was settled with the same girl for ages but just wasn't going to marry her. Then low and behold my first ever girlfriend sent me an email and...... Should say that she in American we just went to school in Germany together. Year and a bit later I am in Florida.

Most telecoms jobs have the option of being brutal. This one has it's moments but it is always interesting and not badly paid.
I have been to Waterloo. RIM's Euro HQ was literally across the road from where I worked and one of my teams responsibilities was the RIM infrastructure for TM Global.

Have you beaten in age, me on the wrong side of it lol. Took me till I was over 40 to get married. Now have 3 and 5 year old boys so alas no early retirement for me and another reason to vape.

Talking of which.... loving the XL. Can throw it in my pocket full of juice and fully charged and just carry a spare Atty. Always have a spare 18650 in the car.

Suspect the wife will steal the XL so I will have both ProVari's. If she shows an interest she can have the Mini. Oh got a Phiniac tank for the Mini. Hummingbirds are still a novelty for me and I love em so when I saw a tank with one on had to have it.
Have to correct my ending, lol
You are no longer a telecom technician, you were promoted into management.
Just kidding, glad you are still in the field and moving up.

You are bringing me back to the good old days when you mentioned the CBX500. I received training and certifications in the 5E, CBX500, Max TNT, Lucent fiber installer/splicer, MCP Windows 2000, CCNA, A+.
I loved AT&T and then spinning off to Lucent.

My last position was with RIM (Bkackberry), I supported their data center. That was a tough gig. More security than I had ever seen just to get into the parking lot and guards to get into the center, just like the airport screening.

My first position was with NASCAR in Daytona Beach as a Network Support Technician.

Now i am 40 years old and have had two fusion surgeries on my back, injections, nerve blocks, physical therapy and epidurals. The doctors call it failed back syndrome. I am trying to settle my case as workmans comp insurance does not procide the best treatment.

Glad to have met another telecom guy on the boards.
Just seen the posts below while giving your feedback.

As you have seen I work for CenturyLink that was Embarq and was Sprint in Winter Park. I skipped the Sprint part as it was Embarq when I joined.

Ohhh Lucent eh. Still deal with CBX500's and the like but I was promoted last year so don't have the vendor interaction I did. Worked with Lucent in the UK, Germany and Seattle when I worked for T-Mobile. Was with them for 15 years or mostly NOC work.

23 mins till Mini Provari time !
I was born in Florida and used to work in Altamonte Springs. Lived in Port Orange and moved here about 6 years ago. I am ready to move back. Too cold and I miss the ocean and fishing.
Deal sounds good. As soon as payment arrives, I will send out your order. I think I can fit it in one of the USPS boxes.
s.mcbratnie@yahoo.com for PayPal, please no mention of ecig. Look forward to hearing from you.

I am just to the south of you in Orlando...ermmm just being a relative term lol

I will pay $5.50 which will cover a small priority mail package on top of the $75 plus the PayPal fees. If the postage isn't enough for Priority Mail or the Vapage etc is too big please just send it First Class.

I am out at the moment but you will get payment as soon as I can figure out how to get PayPal on my cell or I get home. Anyway you will get your money shortly.

What is your PayPal address ?

    Cheers
    Andy
Do you want to send money to me thru Paypal? Can look up costs of shipping online, add Paypal fees and get a total. I will send your new mod kit as soon as I receive the money.
Let me know and we can start the process.

    Thanks

    Sean
