I see now. Yes mine does have a slight indentation. I think yours may be more noticeable because the body is black and the neck is silver. That piece screws onto the body and has a bunch of wires hooked to it. My sister (redgirl) just got a black v2 Provari. I will ask her to take a look at your picture so leave it up for awhile.
did you get a syringe to fill your tanks with? It's the easiest way to fill the carto I think. I just push the needle all the way to the bottom along the metal side and and then slowly squeeze the plunger as I draw the needle towards the top. I do that @ the north, south, east, and west position when I fill mine. Try and and keep the liquid outta the center hole of the carto. That is what you are cleaning (the center hole) when you blow out the bottom of the carto. This is way easier to fix than if you fire up the carto when it is too dry. You can scorch the filling material. That is unfixable.
Just checking your pic of your Provari out - the space looks normal - just like mine (black satin V2).
