  • The did clone is Chrome plated brass, not bronze. Bronze is poisonous you are right containing high amounts of lead. Brass is fine, people read wikipedia and that metals are toxic at melting temperature and get scared and that's how fear based rumors get started. Same thing with aluminum, the rumor is it causes alzheimer's but if you do some research you will find that this started because they found higher amounts of aluminum in the brain of alzheimer's patients but later research found the disease itself was the cause. If it were true, every person who drinks soda from a can would have alzheimer's. Most commercial atties you buy will be either made of stainless steel, aluminum, brass, chrome, and plastic. The did clone is definitely made of brass with chrome plating, I asked the manufacturer.
    Hi xMackx
I intend to drill the wick hole in my DID clone but I have a question regarding the material. Is it SS or just plated bronze or something else? I ask this because bronze with eliquid is probably not very healthy.
    Thank you
    Michael
