  • Yeah I'm quite excited about the ceramic myself. Getting 5 from that AFPV Co-Op and I believe payments are live at the moment (just waiting on a Dowala invoice). They are kind of spendy (5 for $10 + $5 shipping, so more than $3 ea) but as long as I don't get clumsy or rough with them they should last for a very, very long time.

I've seen people mention the airstone but I have yet to search around for the info. It seems like it'd be easy enough with a dremel and the right bit. But I'm assuming as more & more people use the pre-made the cheaper they should eventually become. I hope. haha

The Genesis setup did have me kind of frustrated on my second wick and put it down for awhile. But its vapor & flavor is unmatched by anything else I owned at the time so had to pick it back up :D
Was thinking something Gonzo/HST related :p

Possibly the double thumbed fist or Gonzo written in Steadman style.

May end up getting two as I've got this AGA-T v1 here too.

The oxidation and wick rolling are by far the 'hardest' parts, though I use that term loosely because its more trial and error, nothing all that difficult about it. I just rolled a #500 cause I was bored, oxidized it on the gas stove burner, though I haven't put it in yet to test its oxidation. But all-in-all it was about 20 minutes and I was half distracted by South Park.

I've not used the premades myself and actually took them out of my A7s as they were covered in machining oil. Nothing wrong with em, probably epic convenience really...but I'm a cheap ....... haha.

I do know some sites sell wicks pre-oxidized too, see if I can find which one I last saw written about.
I used the multimeter on the Vivi heads as they were always doing weird stuff and shorting out all the time.

But with the AGA & Provari it hasn't been an issue. I meter & adjust the coils on it.

The only time I've actually seen one error was with a improperly oxidized wick, just took it out torched it a bit longer and then put it back without an issue.

I like to have them around but thats for all sorts of other electric nonsense. I'd say you'll be fine with just the Provari as its all I've been using recently.
    OK, sweet, thanks bud :)

I would go with IBT as they have em cut & ready...just wish they offered sand blasting.

My neighbor has the equipment to get it done but think I'd rather leave it to the experienced :p
I recall you mentioned a Phiniac glass being compatible with the AGA-T2/-T+ but can't for the life of me remember which one you said it was?

Wanting to get one custom sand blasted if it fits, would look sooo good.
Since you won't, here's your friend request. Still not sure I like you though:laugh:
Listen to Big Mac, that's good people right there! Not sure about his tastes yet:D
