Nothin today, just being a lil lazy...Im studying some too. I have to pass a state exam soon to be license to sell ins here in NC. I had my old job for too many yrs making a salary I didnt think was fair for the $ I brought the company. So, I lrft to start a new career one where I can make as much as I want! The studying is tough, its alotta lotta info but I can do it ;-) I have a few movies IM gonna watch today too...."9"-looks funny, animated...also Julie&Julia-it looked funny too, well see tho. So-If Im not mistaken the east coast meetup is in ur neck o the woods...you going? I would if it were a bit closer...Richmond is a good 4 hrs from me and I think the meet is another few hrs from there...Its in March? Is that rt? Who knows, I have a ton of friends all over VA plus I used to travel VA for work so I know my way around, its just trying to find the drive time Im having a prob with....Im sure it will be a blast tho!
I'm in Cross Junction (North of Winchester)... I'm defo gonna try to make the March meet-up. It depends on whether or not I can get a house/dog sitter, though.

That's good! Chemistry is everything we see, smell, taste, touch, and to a good extent, hear. I hated the math in the beginning too...I think I wasn't patient enough, and it definitely requires patience. Now I love it more than working with nasty chemicals, which, other than 100 mg nic juice, I do not do anymore. Its all math and computers and QM now. I am helping to explain why DNA is so resilient to UV light, in general, and trying to understand the molecular properties that make this so. Life depends on these properties, and evolution has selected for them, against all the other ways DNA could have been structured. So people in my field like to say we are figuring out why life exists. Kind of a bold and broad-stroked statement, but there is a lot of truth to it. So what do you do? And how did you come to name yourself that? I think I see a 510 in the picture of you...I assume that's you.

I see that, but not even close. Its a quantum mechanical wave function, a molecular orbital for a molecule I study. The leaves are called nodal surfaces, where the electron cloud is not found. I picked it and rotated it so that it also looks like the chinese character for water, since I do martial arts, and the symbol is often used for the Tao, as in Bruce Lee's advice "Be like water, my friend". Thus the sea green coloring. Definitely does look like a Bird of Paradise, though. Thanks for asking! Told you it was nerdy...kinda sums me up.

I'll tell you, but I'd like to hear what you think it is first.It seems to have a Rorschach quality to it. The real answer is pretty nerdy, but I find it to be beautiful.
