I've seen 6 month warranties listed for the Vmax, but there was one vendor that stated one year from Smoktech. Alibaba shows one year on the page below about halfway down. I just saw the warranty discussion on a thread and got interested.

Mac, I was looking at the Vmax ads from various suppliers and the question came up about the one year warranty from Smoktech. The suppliers are offering 14 to 30 day free replacement for initial warranty and after that, they say the user has to pay round trip shipping to Smoktech for repair or replacement. I couldn't get a price online from UPS, but USPS quoted $47.95 one way to the address at Smoktech's web site.

It started to sound like warranty round trip shipping was more than the $95 sale price of the Vmax. How do you handle this for people? It would seem that buying a new one would be cheaper in some cases than using the warranty. Is there a cheaper method of getting warranty coverage?

hey man visited one of the stores at lynhaven. definitely surprised at the selection of stuff they had. a little pricey but it makes up for not having to pay/wait for shipping!

Alright, here we go. Great rhythm section, good lyrics. My favorites are Fanaticus and Complacent. Fanaticus kinda has that old Sabbath groove to it, I really like that. Complacent is a great song, because I identify with it very well.

Now for the critiques. I think you have to mic Keith down a bit, the drums are too dominant on most of the tracks. Bump swiller up just a tad. And thug needs a less "muddy" sound on his rhythm riffs. The sound is nice and warm on the lead runs, but it's very muddy and muffled on the riffs. There were a couple of riffs that I thought were pretty decent, would have liked the sound just a tad more clear. But overall, I enjoyed it. Glad you are doing what you love, keep it up, bro.
