That was an accurate Tier 1 response. I think they hire those people just to filter calls to Tier 2 and Tier 3 tech support. I once called a Tier 1 support person and asked them why they answered a tech support call in a certain way, and she basically said, "They call us b/c they don't know what is wrong. We can tell them anything and hang up. They have to deal with it." SMH!
