Tootle Puffers, Part Three! (The Sequel of the Redux)

I'm thinking parts of your coil could get to that temperature during a dry hit though, so it's something you should be aware of and if concerned, TC ;) But ... lower watts, higher ohms and higher PG % make it less likely.

"... small amounts of acrolein being formed in some ionic environments at 350 °C ..." ... that'd be 660F BTW

Tootle Puffers, Part Three! (The Sequel of the Redux)

There's a train of thought (previously mentioned by Boden I reckon) that said you set your temp to 600F (or the max), set your watts to however you like to vape and watch the temperature rise on the mod (in a mirror) during use. Then set your temp limit to 10F above the max achieved during your...

Tootle Puffers, Part Three! (The Sequel of the Redux)

Ah yes, but I only read that after I had already replied  The two I quoted are both protected "mechanicals", much like the eGo-ONE batteries ... so battery voltage output.

Tootle Puffers, Part Three! (The Sequel of the Redux)

Pico squeeze (or the kanger 60W) with either a Shift or Origen little (O16) atty ... either is a cheap entry model but both have little idiosyncrasies ... the squeeze bottle is awkward to remove and the kanger has a somewhat frustrating battery cap

All Things about the Eleaf iCare & iCare Mini

My daughter took an ICare with her when she flew to Tasmania, a distance of ~2,000km. Did not leak once

Rather than try to explain in a single post, perhaps if Muru is interested I will PM a link to the original thread (on another forum BTW) ;)

    Nicotine Comparisons

Yep, to overcome the inefficiencies of low powered hardware, and appears to do the trick. 45mg/ml is too strong for me as well, and I'll be remixing it down today to 36mg/ml.

    Nicotine Comparisons

One thing I have noticed is the 10.5% CA version doesn't want to wick even though I have drilled all fluid inlets to 1.6ø in the ICare coil ... probably because of it being salt saturated. Mixing 1ml of the 10.5% CA mix with 0.5ml of the 1% CA mix has alleviated/reduced that problem, and...

Tootle Puffers, Part Three! (The Sequel of the Redux)

Damn that's big :o Modified coil (larger fluid inlets), 45mg/ml 50/50 nic salt juice (home converted ... of course ;) )

    Nicotine Comparisons

Yep, though they did measure some parameters and I'm just relying on "feel". Now to find the CA % where it feels comfortable, but first I have ~60ml of mixed juice to use (will take awhile @ 1.2/1.5ml per day  ).

    Nicotine Comparisons

It will be interesting to see the results of your titration test :thumb: FTPIR, I calculated that they were adding 0.235% CA for every 1mg/ml nic strength, so 60mg/ml would require 14.1% CA. I added 10.5% CA to my second mix of 45mg/ml which I calculated to match the patent. It isn't as strong...

    Nicotine Comparisons

 The mix I made yesterday had 3.19g of CA dissolved in 19.92g (15.5ml) of VG, heated at approx 90C until fully dissolved. After cooling to approx 60C, I added 13.5ml of 100mg/ml PG and maintained that temperature for another 20 mins, then cooled to approx 40C and added 1.5ml of FA...
