    No, there is no downside, your coil will heat alot quicker but you can just adjust joules if you dont like it heating as fast, it might actually save battery life as you dont have to hold the button down forever to actually get some vapor

    Ive noticed even if its twisted a little, once you go to wrap your coil, if you wrap it twisting so it goes on straight, itll stay that way
