    DSE-601 E-Pipe review part 2 by asidrave

Borkum Riff Cherry Cavendish was the best pipe tobacco EVER! Smoked it for many years until I quit smoking pipes due to a very rough winter of illness. I've always inhaled my pipe smoke and I KNOW what true throat hit is. I've had my DSE601 for less than 24 hours now. Tried the LOW cart...

How do you like your 601?

Got my DSE601 from Shawn at LiteCigUSA after having very good luck with purchasing two of the VX2-M e-cig kits + accys from him (great guy and FAST service). I've had my DSE601 for less than 24 hours, but I've already been switching between 3 carts in attempt to get some damn FLAVOR going. First...

Wall Charger & Wall to USB Charger

My favorite VX2 charger is the one that comes with the VX2-M kit. It allows for AC or DC input and it just seems like a better charger overall. The DC input range is 6-24VDC, so obviously it has a good solid state voltage regulator circuit (or IC). Nice unit

VX2 Cart stuffing & battery woes....

Okay, I've been doing some more testing the waters with my VX2 and here's what I've found. As far as stuffing carts, I think it's good to have a backup plan aside from buying them, however all of Shawn's carts are quite inexpensive AND they seem to last considerably well for the very low...

My 2nd order from Shawn + more VX2 observations

It is a very good mod, but I got the same results by packing my quilt batting a bit less tightly AND by using a 3cc/3mL syringe & needle to juice my carts from the bottom up

    Cartridges

Stuffing carts is completely optional and I'm sure many people don't even bother, since Shawn has excellent carts available for very cheap. The stuffing in Shawn's carts will hold up very well for several refills, but I doubt you'll ever find cart stuffing material that will last indefinitely...

    Cartridges

Well done Deliza :) I do recommend that you try filling carts from the bottom up with a 3cc/3mL syringe & needle. Just try it...you might be surprized at the results.

    DSE601 Epipe - battery cover/loading tips

Hi Dan. Good overall review on your part, but please keep in mind that you are comparing a device that is running strictly on battery power with one that is using a formidable external DC power supply. The average USB port will supply about 500mA @ 5VDC (2.5 Watts) all day long. With that in...

    Cutoff after 2/3 seconds

Discharge the batteries as much as you possibly can then charge them each for 8-12 hours If this does not revive them, they must be shot, whatever the reason or cause might be

VX2 trick, get those last few hits off a cart

Just don't do it unless you MUST. Logically it will cause a more rapid contamination to your atomizer tip. Doing it repeatedly may be considered a "brutal barage" of fibrous invasions...so be sure to clean & dry the atty later on when you (hopefully) swap out your attys for routine PM...

    DSE601 Epipe - battery cover/loading tips

I don't know who invented the first miniature moto tool (commonly known as the DREMEL now), but he must have made a FORTUNE if he did indeed patent it. Anyway, the DSE601 epipe has a battery cover that can be somewhat cumbersome to tighten and/or remove. See this video review of the DSE601...

VX2 trick, get those last few hits off a cart

OK, I've been doing a lot of trial & error testing, just trying to figure out how to maximize my VX2 vaping when AWAY from any battery charging resources.....during those times when it's just me, my VX2 in the black carry case and I'm limited to whatever batteries & carts I happen to have with...

My 2nd order from Shawn + more VX2 observations

The list would be long if I mentioned every little trinket, but I'm starting to understand the whole proccess just a bit better and what it takes to make this all work well. I THINK I might be overcharging my batts at times, which has adverse effects on performance. It gets the atty too hot...

Neither am I, but it's what's inside that counts! That's not just a cliche, it's very true. I'm pretty new to messaging on this forum too; and have so much to learn about it. Some things are obvious & quite simple while others evade me entirely. One day at a time. :-) Scott (The Doc)

    My dumb vx2 question

Nothing like burgling from a friend. You can always remind them about the last thing they burgled from you if they wanna start .....in' about it

My 2nd order from Shawn + more VX2 observations

Agreed, there is definitely a difference. I notice that a freshly charged AUTOMATIC battery is more likely to give a smooth flavorful hit/drag; while a MANUAL battery needs to be discharged slightly before giving you that nice smooth flavor. The manual batteries can give you a few very harsh...

    ROBERT, that was GOOD research

Rinsing the orig stuffing does work, but it soon wears out anyway. I don't have any tea around, which means I would have to buy tea bags. I only drink the bottled green tea which is served cold. I am presently about to test some quilt batting I got at WalMart. If that does not work out, then...

    ROBERT, that was GOOD research

Oh believe me, I know there is no worry with the atty itself...it's just that the atty in the VX2 ALLOWS juice to pass through to the battery....so if the battery has no seal, insulator or barrier between poles, it shorts and discharges...for good. Evidently though, the manual batteries are a...

    ROBERT, that was GOOD research

I found that Fluval makes various stuff and the stuff I got at PETCO came in 2 thick sheets (boxed). It is an off-white color with a very plastic-like feel and with very large pores/air pockets. I observed a video on youtube which showed a guy getting all fussy & trimming the correct type...
