Vegetable Glycerin vs HUMCO glycerin-warning!
Just curious....WHO sells 36mG unflavored? and is it OK to cut it down to about 16-18mG with Vegetable Glycerin? ...Or is that cutting it a bit TOO MUCH? I just got some HERITAGE brand VG at a health food store. I'm gonna try that as well as the WILTON gycerin (eBay find) & see which is better...- The Doc

I believe that is correct, but they are still trying all they can to make a big stink about it. As far as CT goes, they are just really missing their damned CT tobacco taxes, plain & simple -

No, there is no substitute for a good solder connection....which can be insulated with small gauge shrink tubing. Soldering is not that hard to learn with just a little practice. The only thing required is a good quality iron (of the RIGHT SIZE AND POWER OUTPUT) and some good rosin core solder... -

Not much purpose or function in the disection of a VX2 atty......they are only $7 each to begin with! They last long enough for the cheap price, so when they burn up, I don't even bother with them.....I just discard them Dissecting batteries can be very hazardous and there is an art to it... -

Why thanks figurehead....but I'm still correct :) That one that works ONLY in the clean mode....all it needs is a manual switch (EASY MOD). drill 1 or 2 tiny holes near the upper gold contacts, solder small wires to the contacts, then use epoxy or tiny self tapping screws to mount a tiny... -

Be careful not to overdo it with dripping, the DSE601 is EASY to clog. Place the pipe in a DRAINING POSITION whenever it is not in use! Use a small glass jar like the ones that contain the Iced Coffee bought at the supermarket. Remove the mouthpiece & cart, then set the pipe hanging "stem... -

You have to slowly keep poking & plunge cutting the RTV type glue around the white plastic slug inside the bowl. The rest just pulls apart if you follow the steps outlined in the DSE601 rebuild threads. Leave as much wire hanging off the atty assembly as possible, then snip, splice & wire it... -

It's cheaper to just cut it with glycerin, DIY style. Example: Let's say you like the cappucino as your favorite and you usually vape 16mG.... BUY the 50mL bottle of Cappucino in 24mG then cut it down to 16mG by simply adding 25mL of clycerin (in a bigger bottle of course). HUMCO... -

Real grapefruits are too sour & tart for me.....but the vaping juice might taste better than actual grapefruit. Bear in mind that I've been vaping MOSTLY using my DSE601 EPIPES....which have a hotter burning atty than my VX2's.....so the flavor has to be pretty strong to survive. I've... -

The atty is probably fine. Reverse polarity DC probably killed the little surface mount switching/control board. IF you can get that pipe apart, you could BYPASS the control board and just add a manual switch. That pipe is a ..... to disassemble without breaking it though (time consuming). -

Thanks. I just could'nt see another DES601 tossed into the trash....and I'm not going to keep bugging Shawn to replace an item that is essentially a crap shoot in terms of overall longevity. -

Agreed...sounds like you definitely have an open atty circuit. I modded one of my DSE601's with a VX2 atty. Looks kinda silly, but works like a charm -
