    The adapter is only 1" long. That pic shows the standard 510 to 510 first, then the 1" 510 to 510 and then the DCA. All of the thicker part is the DCA. The 1" adapter just provides the needed length to allow it to close.

    Ohms can fluctuate as most can vary +/- up to .3Ω but that is usually when new and the variance from rated. Usually ohms will drop over time. I'd suggest you remove the atty and clean the threads and the Darwin connector, blow it out and see what happens when you put it back on. Back to that...

    Pretty sure that is just voltage drop-off from amps draw under load. GLV is a nice device but the resistor... I think that post is extremely misleading. If he used IMRs - I think the results would be very different.

    Dry burning will work - I did that for months. But, it also shortens the life of the atty. Heating and cooling like that can create micro fissures in the nichrome surface so it can get carbon build-up even faster. I tried the sonic cleaners with Everclear and that was less than great too...

    Not sure where you were watching but elixirtv.com was streaming in hi-def from start to finish with hosts, interviews and more. BTW - the room was huge so it did not look overly crowded. People also came and went - Vegas has lots to do so...
