    I am about to order Dark for Pipe given the rave reviews I have seen. Could someone describe the flavor? Rich tobacco, light tobacco, Virginia type, Burley, Turkish? Besides tobacco, any nut, sweeter, caramel or vanilla in there?

    Bingo !! Problem solved. No more dry hits. It was either a faulty o-ring, or the tails were too thin. Still puzzled though, why would a thin tail prevent juice from entering the chamber .... And you are right, cotton does taste better. Thanks everyone for helping.

    Great idea ricks. I was just thinking of doing that. Meanwhile I switched to cotton and made the tails a little thicker. Waiting for results. I will report back.

    Just barely, and only when I take strong puffs repeatedly. I will try a new wick using cotton, but quite skeptical if that is the source of my dry hits. Juice is not flowing into the chamber, period.... Changing the o-ring at bottom of the base a second time did not solve the problem either...

    I think I will take the advice and change the wick to see what happens. Another curl-pit might be the o-ring at the bottom of the deck. Ever since I changed it, the juice flow control became extremely loose - it now turns at the slightest touch. That doesn't seem normal....

    One reason for thinning the tails is to prevent your juice from turning dark too fast. Rayon has a tendency to let burnt juice back into the tank more easily than cotton does.

    I have checked the juice holes and all four are clear. The tails can handle the juice if I could only get the juice to flow inside the chamber. It refuses to do so unless I increase the suction to the max - by turning the AFC nearly closed.

    I have some diamond heads which I can use to enlarge the holes on the deck. The only problem is the holes on the side; kind of hard to get to.

    I have read your thread on tensioned coils and had good results with cotton. Have you ever compared tensioned vs spaced with rayon? Most people in the rayon thread recommend spaced - apparently because it helps juice flow better.

    Just curious, have you found any difference in optimum watts for vaping TA vs synthetics? I often find myself lowering the watts when vaping TA or NETS.

    Keep us posted on your results. I personally find 7Leaves from INW and FA almost the same. At 2.2%, I get a semi-fruity taste quite similar to cooked plums. YMMV.

    I tried everything. Didn't find a vacuum leak. No leak of liquid either. Still getting dry hits. It's a little better with half a tank, but not by that much. I get better flow into the chamber if I turn the AFC extremely tight. It creates stronger suction. My problem might be the brand of vg...
