Patriot does change a bit after three months, but not drastically. It just matures into something more smooth and pleasant. From the description on the website, these are the three ingredients : Louisiana Perique, Virginia Burley, and Kentucky Cavendish.
I am still trying to solve the mystery...
I have been using Patriot for a long time and it gets better each day that goes by. It is one of the more authentic tobaccos I have ever tried - more bite than others, and a tiny amount of cigar flavor. It is a blend of at least three different tobaccos- Virginia, Perique and one more ingredient...
I rolled up a joint today with virginia cavendish. Didn't like it as a cig, but maybe different in a pipe. I do like the joint I rolled up with Virginia Flue cured - a dry leaf. I need to quit while I am ahead.
you are right - strictly unflavored cigarette as might be expected from dry leaves. You might add a bit of Perique to the mix. It will add a touch of fruit-chocolate quality to the vape - similar to "Speaking Spirit" or "NS Dark", two flavors from Net.com - if you have ever tried them.
I suspect the problem lies not only with the filter dust, but also with its pore size. It let through a lot of fine residue in some of my extracts.
I want my money back

Pipe tobacco is often laced with flavors - casings they are called I believe. I personally like straight tobaccos without any casings. LeafOnly has a good selection of straight tobaccos but they don't carry Latakia.
That makes sense except I am getting a plastic taste from one of my extracts - even though I lined the plastic cap with aluminum foil ... The problem might lie somewhere else though.
Yes I did filter the Isopropyl, but not the conventional way. Transferred the unfiltered extract out of the crockpot to the freezer and let the residue settle at the bottom for 48 hours. Skimmed off the top, and filtered the result. I feel that is all the filtering we need - let gravity do the...
I did an extraction using Isopropyl Alcohol, and unlike our beloved friend who wound up at the morgue with a number around his toe, I managed to survive.
The flavor is solid, and there is no after-taste at all. I did notice a tiny bit of flat flavor as earlier mentioned by str8vision, but I...
