I really like the Juggernaut but the price gets in the way for me. I think you'll be happy with the KTS (I had the real deal GGTS its cloned from back in da day). Something else to look into would be the Pinoy (Phillipines made) mods if they stabilize in price & supply...
Yeah after doing this for 3 1/2 years I've sold more mods than most people will ever own. The problem I have these days, especially with the mech/rebuildable crowd is the boutique mods at artificially inflated price points. Yes I paid $250 for my Darwin, but it was far superior...
I started out on a Trog screwdriver, then a 5v GLV2 and an original GGTB(both I still have). I never really got into mechanicals back then. Of course that was prior to IMR chemistry and any sort of tank system until I got my AFS. I just never liked them much. Then I got my Darwin after going...
There really isn't in this case. The loads you will be operating under are within the limits of the current batteries you have. it's a 'bigger is better' philosophy for many in tha vaping world, who can have the lowest ohm coil, the most expensive mod, blow the biggest clouds etc, and nowhere...
My SVD express kit came from Stormy's. It has the thinner top cap, no holes at the bottom of the 510 connector, short beauty ring threading, the mirror screen, the opaque fire button, and the fat +/- surrounds. Mine appears to be a mix as well.
4.2v (freshly charged 3.7v li-chemistry) /.4 ohms= 10.5A. Voltage sag is a little different from the amp rating of a battery. Its more the quality of the internal chemistry components, and the amount of power reserve, rather than the max sustained discharge rate that reduce sag. This becomes...
You can get a KTS GGTS clone(•18350 Battery Length 74mm) so almost 5/8" shorter than the Provari Mini (3.48"/89mm) and a kick clone @ VaportekUSA all for under $50. So smaller than a Provari mini and cheaper by a bunch too and you could run 18350/18490/18500/18650.
I have a SVD and for the Fasttech price you can't beat it. Built like a tank and vapes liek a beast.
The Sigelei ZMax v3 (the v5+ is up on their site now ZMAX V5+_ZMAX V5_SIGELEI Electronic Cigarette - )would probably be a good budget friendly choice as well.
The SID has questionable build...
Gold Buzz followed by a silver Buzz, then a Darwin. When I got into tanks I got a Innokin SVD. I hate the Provari menu system with a passion....
*DIAF Provari*
Now that Sigelei is switching to copper contacts, I'd probably direct someone new to mechanicals in that direction. My first mech and the only one I still have is a real original GGTS from COV...But I feel that it will soon have some company as the Pinoy mods get more and more attractive, as...
I'd go with the SVD. I have one and love it. If you are co-op eligible there is a co-op going for the SVD for $33 http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/active-coops/432269-innokin-svd-itaste-kanger-protank-kanger-t3s-bcc-vapeonly-co-op-8.html
I have torn apart dozens of Trustfire and other common chargers and seen soldering and boards that a chimpanzee could have done better. The PILA'S are quality units and you can search the candle power and other hardcore flashlight forums and find hundreds if not more positive reviews of the...
The only problems I see is that is if the 'rods' are press fit that they will come loose over time unless they are screwed in to the collars(the top collars does seem to have screw heads but it could be decorative and not functional). Secondly you appear to twist the collar to adjust wattage...
^QFT A lot of people balk at buying a $50 charger like the PILA (which I own). My philosophy is why charge a $15 battery for a $200 mod on a $7 chinese charger made by a 12 year old for $.30 an hour.
No I have a couple ProTanks, and they work pretty good for me. The article was about wicks so I was trying to keep on topic. I'm looking at getting enough to last me a while in the current group buy, and maybe some of the colored Protanks I see coming out. I mainly let my g/f use the Protanks...
The problem is is that we assume the known 'quality brands' are going to produce a higher 'C' rating. Coming from an expensive competitive sport (1/8th scale electric offroad RC) 'C' ratings from the manufacturer are no more relaible than the mah ratings are. I have 4s (14.8v) 6500mah...
