I use a SID with Panasonic batteries charged with an Xtar charger. I can get around 2 days on a charge but I try to swap after one and it takes about 4 hours to charge on the low setting on my charger. I don't carry a spare, I have two batteries so I charge and swap and I never charge overnight...
The idea behind the Kick, a relatively cheap drop-in VW module for an unregulated tube mod, doesn't hold up as well now with so many decent cheap VW APVs around now.
As a safety feature I think it's better than a plain fuse but better enough to justify the added cost? I'm not convinced.

If you buy good quality batteries, use them within their stated ratings, and charge then on a quality charger, the danger...

WPS2 is my first recommendation. I run the WP2 II with extra spacers and two BR-103W as back-ups. Actually they were called the AD-103 when I bought them so I don't know if the quality has changed since. The ones I have are good but very slow.
It's 14mm diameter vs the L at 20mm and about 2mm shorter and the deck doesn't have a rim around it so it leaks a little easier. Some people say it hits harder because there is less room inside it but I don't have an L to confirm that.
They don't cost that much, if you can swing it, get both. I've got the S and W and I only use the W for playing around. My daily vape when I'm on an RDA kick is my S.
