That's the cool thing about rebuildables on 18650 mechs, so long as you don't super sub-ohm, say 0.4 and below, and are running quality batteries, Sony VCT series for example, it's just not that noticeable.

A limit is a limit. If a battery is pushed past it's limit it can go into thermal runaway and vent. If a switch is pushed past it's limit it can either burn out the contacts and not pass electricity or the contacts can weld shut and you won't be able to shut it off.

A quick google only turns up Alibaba sites but as far as I can tell Elego is the factory or distributor name. I'd say go for it. It's not genuine Joytech but as far as I can tell it's a decent clone.
Are you using a meter to get your resistance values? A spreadsheet will get you close but until you put a meter on it you don't know for sure. Your wire might have a different resistance value from the chart or you might have a short. When in doubt, always meter.
