Go with the MPV. Both kits are accidents waiting to happen with sub-par chargers and no-name ICR batteries. For batteries and a charger go with Sony VCT5s and an Xtar charger from RTD vapor.
If you are using a mech try dropping your resistance down to around 1 ohm if your battery can handle it. At 1.4 ohm you can also use it on a VV/VW and try upping the power.
Unless his build has a short, then the video is completely relevant. Test your coils before you fire them Every Time.
EDIT: Every new build, not every time you fire it. Safety first but even I think testing before every puff is a bit much. :)
In a side by side test performed at 8:08 AM CST my Kayfun 3.1 clone with the airflow wide open has a slightly tighter draw than an Igo S with a 1/16" airhole, totally lung hit capable.
That's the trick, you don't have to go super sub-ohm. I have a dripper with a .8ohm coil that's going on 8 months with the same coil that I use with my darkest, most coil gunking liquids. Once a week or so I pull the cap off, pull the cotton wick out, dry burn the coil, and rewick. It takes 2-3...
If your topcap has heavy drop it should help but it is subject to the law of diminishing returns. The lower your drop, the harder it will be to drop it more.
