My first e-cig was a rubbish one from a Chinese pharmacy. I used it for about a week, I remember changing the batteries and cartridges six times every day. Then I found an internet company and bought an ego. It was one thousand times better.
About 80% of Chinese men are smokers. There...
Also, smoking in China has recently been banned in "public places", whatever that means, but in fact the rule is being ignored by everyone. One of my friends is a policeman and he knew nothing about a smoking ban.
I live in Xi'an, China. E-cigs are sold in most pharmacies here. From what I have seen there is no choice of nicotine strength or flavor. Many people do buy them, but they are not very effective, and they have no idea that much better e-cigs are available on-line.
I've never tried snus, I know some people rave about it. I just ordered 20 boxes of Stonewall dissolvable tobacco. I hope it's good. I plan to use it when vaping just wouldn't be allowed or appropriate. Smokeless is the way of the future. Such a pity the so-called health groups can't see that.
No doubt Phillip Morris will want the biggest possible share of the market, but so far they are way behind in this race. You are right, it will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of years.
I think there will always be niche markets in this industry. For example juice...
People can choose or not choose to buy their products. If they were over-priced, I wouldn't buy them.
Have other distributors spent billions on advertising and research?
You are incorrect to say that big tobacco have been fighting tooth and nail to get PV's banned. They have done no such thing. In fact, they will most likely market their own line of e-cig products in the near future. Big tobacco can see the potential of this product and they want their share...
Refilling cartomizers is super easy. A piece of cake. If you want more vapor I suggest a mod. I just ordered a Silver Bullet from AltSmokes. It's one of the most positively reviewed mods ever made. Also get some dual coil cartomizers from them. Amazing vapor machines.
It looks exactly the same as the first e-cig I bought from a Chinese pharmacist. It barely worked and I needed to change the battery six times a day, but I could see the potential. I went online, did some research and bought an eGo which was about a thousand times better, now I'm waiting for an...
I have spent WAY more on vaping than I was spending on analogs. Mainly because I was only paying about 50 cents a pack (in China). But I love vaping so much I just don't care what it costs.
