Well I finally got the 510 post (the brass thing with a screwdriver slot) and can tell you it is not threaded. The positive block on the deck has a pin (non-threaded) that pushes into that brass 510 post which is hollow like a tube. So screwing/unscrewing the 510 post does nothing. I also... -

I love my D2's and the D3 looks like a winner as well. Saying that....SS mode, mini usb and up-gradable firmware would make it just about perfect. But then again, if you could up grade the firmware you wouldn't need to buy the D4!! -

MMW....for power only, check out the iStick 100w. 2 x 18650's for good batt life and can go to 100 watts. AND they're real cheap!! You're gonna like the D2's. I take mine everywhere. I use HG2's so batt life is pretty good. I was going to get another D2 but got a eVic mini instead. I... -

Some peeps have had probs with the "lip" in the batt sledd not allowing for good contact. Check batts in Escribe to see which one(s) giving you probs. Just a thought.
