    Once you burn a wick it will normally still give off hints of that burning T-Shirt flavor no matter how many tanks you run through it. Just change out the head to a fresh one.

    Grocery bag and a rubber band usually works great for me. That way if there really is a fire, it will melt through the thin bag and still go off.
