I wonder if IanDVaypes takes any requests for mod-work. Sure he gets hounded all the time. I'd love a SX350J or DNA40 in my WE2. Bugs said that TP mode doesn't work well because of the titanium in the housing, but if its already been done and works well, I dunno.- nj1001

Yeah, thats how I'm feeling about my WE2, took the back burner once I got a 2.1 flask, then another, now a SX. The thing is, when I got my WE2, the Euro to USD exchange rates were awful so I ended up dropping around $600 on it. Now the exchange rates are much more favorable for us or is...- nj1001

Because I haven't really twisted kanthal since I started using Ni200, I've gotten pretty good at it & can do it quickly. I'd never use any nickel that's not tempered. I don't have that much patients, haha. Personally, my issue isn't with twisting up nickel coils as much as this damn squape... -

How'd you get your WEII outfitted with a DNA40? You do mean WE2 & not WAE2, right? I meant that Mark & Bugs told me that the titanium wizard's apprentice evolved (not the stainless steel apprentice version) cannot be outfitted with temp control. I asked him specifically whether he meant...- nj1001

I had similar problems when I first started using temp control. I also never go above 20W. I just don't have a need to. Ensure that your coils are wrapped tightly & that they're perfectly spaced. Any warp or imperfection in any part of the coil or it's legs, I have found, can impact quality... -

Cape Cod polishing pads will work. Any jewelry polish should. Hell, I'm sure you could use a fine car polish and have it work. Its just to remove the frost and have it clear. I bet you could also use a super high grit wet/dry sandpaper, used very lightly and have it work -like 2000+ grit... -

I retried with 28awg Ni200. Having a hard time getting the resistance I ought to 7 or 8 wraps and its saying 0.24 which can't be right. I did find that it was a lot easier to build the second one compared to the first but I still need a lot more practice. It'll be interesting to see the... -

So I got mine today. Used the FICS that came in it at 1/2 Ω for awhile. Definitely airy. Ended up closing mine almost to the point of shutting it off completely. Then decided to rebuild using 26 gauge Ni200 5 wraps for 0.08Ω. Definitely took me a lot longer than I'm used to, but then again... -

The build doesn't seem too bad. Wicking seems like the tricky part, totally doable, just a bit more of a process than we're used to with traditional coils. & So far no vids showing using a fluffier type of cotton or SS mesh which'll also work. But time will tell. I can't wait for mine. My... -

I love my WE2 soooooo much but haven't used it since I started vaping DNA40's about a year ago now. I've been debating putting it up in the classy's for awhile now but, its just hard to let go, haha. I feel like the hard matte finish is pretty slippery though. Especially compared to a VS flask. It feels about as light as one too. I do worry about dropping it.
