I haven't tried the 350j chip yet (waiting another week or two for my VF SX to be built/ship), but I've been using a DNA40 & if I made a coil like the one you described I'd be tapping out on temp control (TC) way too quick. I have to make them perfectly spaced & even then, to avoid TC I kick it... -

As for DNA200, I do like the ability to load Ti coils & lock ohms. Going over 60 or even 40W has no appeal for me personally. -

I'm surprised you were able to get so many coils in there. I've been using the wide deck, tempered 28 gauge Ni200 & usually do 8 wraps around a 3mm bitt & get around 0.11-0.12. With 12 wraps in that small space and at 0.09, some of the coils must be touching? Which deck are you using? -

I know, I saw that just now when I was looking at replacing pins & possibly a new bell- then I saw the shipping (20 EU!). The normal full-sized R is almost too large in my opinion, but can't bring myself to use anything with a smaller juice capacity. -

I haven't run anything but Ni200 on mine since I got it last November & it's really the only atty I've used since then. I agree the pin is a pain but I've learned to deal with it by looking at it as if it allows an adjustable resistance. I know 8 wraps of .30mm (28/29 gauge) Ni200 should be...
