What a newish member has learned

Thanks everyone :) I could spend serious hours on here (even more than I do now!) just absorbing knowledge. There's certainly no shortage of it!

    Any problems with smoke detectors?

The ones that use optical technology (usually a small beam of light that senses particles between an emitter an detector) are particularly sensitive to even steam from cooking. The least sensitive to vapour clouds I believe are the ones that use a slightly radioactive material. If you pop the...

Shaved head guys chime in here. Flaking scalp.

I've had this well before vaping. It came on all of a sudden with me, so may just be coincidence that it timed with you vaping. I've tried so many things before, but two things work especially well for me. A good quality moisturiser such as Palmers, and as strange as it sounds, beard oil! They...

Has anyone vaped actual tobacco with a Dry Atomizer?

As others have mentioned, there are e-liquids out there that have had real tobacco leaf involved in the process (for a more authentic flavour). I have noticed 'shisha pens' to be used with organic materials, but from what I've read, liquids work far better. There are many dry matter vaporisers...

    Kanger Aerotank

Those bases are an excellent product, and very reasonably priced from what I've seen.

    Kanger Aerotank

I love this tank too, although I find that the airflow seems to be either off, almost off or too light. It might be down to the fact that I have airflow grooves on my mod though. It is perfect for me set at almost off however. Provides a nice tight draw full of dense vapour instead of pulling in...

What a newish member has learned

I bought mine here MICRO-D Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser - Cloud 9 Vaping There may be similar ones available, but if you have your heart set on that particular one, they do ship internationally from £8.95. May not be worth the shipping cost unless you purchase a few unique things, depending on...

    Drip Tips: Metal or Plastic?

It's glass all the way for me! For some reason I find any plastic gives me a dirty feeling, like it's never clean. Metal feels the cleanest, but not nice on the lips personally. Glass just feels natural, and being crystal clear it's easy to see when it needs a little clean with a cotton...

Trying to make a micro coil for my Protank

Was everything very clean? Sometimes wire comes with a protective coat of oil, which can easily be burned off with a flame.

What a newish member has learned

Hi everyone. As I've read literally hundreds of threads since properly quitting analogs and restarting vaping, I thought it may be helpful to very new members to hear what I've learned in the last few weeks. My previous vaping experience was cut short when I switched back to analogs because I...

Dripping: Quick clean for flavour change?

Thanks, that all makes sense. I've watched a few videos on rebuilding, and seeing the wire being wrapped around the wick it looks as though the wick could be tightly bound. Is it easy to pull it from the coil and insert a new short length, or do you have to manipulate the coil a little? Thanks...

Dripping: Quick clean for flavour change?

So I've seen a Micro-D rebuildable dripping atomizer, and for the price, I'm certainly going to have a play around with it. My question though, is say I have a few bottles of e-liquid delivered at once and I'm keen to try each one in a short space of time, will a dripping atomizer be easier to...

Looking to upgrade. Not sure where to start!

Have you looked at variable voltage/wattage models? Something like a Provari, although cheaper models exist. There are always mechanical mods, but you need to be very careful with the batteries and buy good quality ones from reputable vendors. You could go for less throat hit straight away by...

    Crackling noise....

Always had it on my Ego. I find sucking a little faster makes less of a sound. As MR Mad said, as long as it doesn't taste burnt you should be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What are you waiting for in the mail?

Waiting for a Smok Magneto, 18650 plus charger, Kanger Aerotank and a few bottles of eliquid. Waiting is always the hardest part :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What influenced your decision to stop smoking?

Definitely the smell. As I was never a heavy smoker, there were times when I went without for a day or so and I REALLY noticed the smell on my clothes. Made me self conscious every time I was standing next to a non smoker. Plus the obvious health risks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks Shaunie, that's very reassuring. I dropped some serious cash into this the last couple of weeks, so come pay day I'll be buying a kit with a few flavours and some glass dropper bottles :D

Just curious, anyone still using or even prefer cig-a-likes?

I started with one, like most people I know who tried them years ago. I find that almost everyone now uses Ego type devices, but I do live in a city literally filled with shops and market stalls that sell them very cheaply and a starter kit normally sells for £10 including e-liquid. I think...

Thanks for the welcome! That kit is certainly good value compared to others. I was also surprised at the prices and great reviews at LT ecigs, so a few bottles are on their way to me!

Hi everyone! Been lurking for a long time but finally took the plunge and registered after siphoning lots of information and knowledge! I am a fairly light smoker and went the e-cig route before, then went back to analogs before newer technology has pulled me back in. Back when I tried to...
