My, Karl, you do have a way with words! 8-o But, yes, I guess that's what I'm saying.
Given the cartomizers have received a couple of thumbs up, I may try them next. Thanks for the input and encouragement! :)
Many thanks to the vets who took the time to respond to my post. I was afraid it would get lost in the constant flood of "new thread" entries with reduntant questions/concerns that have been covered repeatedly in the various sub-forums.
I'm one among a few novices, if you will, that have...
Whether it's a new job, gadgets like a cell phone or software that you know will make your life easier once you learn it, I find the process of learning something new such a drag; nature's joke that it doesn't get any easier the older you get. How come science hasn't yet invented the "mind...
If you'll PM me with your mailing address, I will send you a piece of the blue foam. If it works for you, you could find a source on the 'net and order more.
I dunno, eclypse. I just received in the mail some 510 carts that have what I think people are describing as a "whistle tip" that do not have a shelf. The carts that came with my 901 (which I shelved as I prefer the 510) have a flatter tip, like a Swisher Sweet cigarillo.
I cut up a...
I found this to be the most frustrating part of vaping! Nosed around in the "Modder's" forum and tried many of them until I hit upon this one:
NEW 510 Cart MOD Blue Foam Plug Cart Mod "The Slug" Blue Foam Plug v2.0
After some angst with the learning curve, it's been working well for me...
Is it that the whistle tips don't have a shelf, Greg? If that's the case, I wonder if adding the straw to prop up the plug or slug would work. All my 510 carts are round - I'll have to find some whistle tips to see if I like them more.
Forking over 20 bucks seemed like the least I could do to support a website that just might add years to my life and has offered such a wealth of information. You should consider it. ;)
I think it's because of the pure flavor of vaping. I've tried (out of curiosity) to smoke 2 analogs since September 30th and couldn't get beyond 2 or 3 drags of each. Hated the paper taste, mostly. Quit a 37 year smoking habit the day I got my PV in the mail. Never going back! :-D
I couldn't either, Kristin, until I paid to become a "Supporting Member." Haven't tried to post there, just enjoy reading some of the threads. The forum appears just below "Tips."
Yes, I just read that thread, too. Would love to ask them what they're using for cart mods - they CAN'T be happy with the standard packing. They were alluding to someone suggesting human hair 8-o and I was hoping to find that thread just to "see it to believe it."
Maybe they could start an...
I'm happy to be done with fussing around with carts. I've stuck with version 2 where the foam ends up being a U shape and cut so the ends are about 1/8" shy of the cart opening. The atty bridge seems to snug right in there just fine.
No probs switching between thick and thin juice as of...
I'm liking it so far, Eclypse. Replaced my old plugs in 3 carts and will give them a try tomorrow. This may be just the fix for the awful atty flooding when the unfolded small plugs get too soggy or don't hug the sides of the cart quite right.
The only thing that would have made your...
After having the same flooding/leaking issues Monday nite, Eclypse, I haven't had any more probs. Still using the same 3 plugs I made originally. They're all out of shape now but I just wiggle them around in the top of the cart after loading and they don't give me any more grief.
I think...
Give it a try - it's working great for me! I went over 4 hours today without having to refill a cart and had zero flooding or leaking.
If you can't find any of the blue fishtank filter material, try a piece of 3M green scrubby. The key seems to be spongy material with holes that let...
