    The chuck is a 3.7v device. Or you can use an adapter to use 2 cr2 batteries at 6 volts. Stock it uses an 18650 battery.

    Jeff I think it has something to do with the 510 attys..... so far mine works great, but I do have an atty that works on a regular battery, but it doesn't like the chuck. BTW My atty's are Joye510 brand. I think maybe some attys are a fraction of a molecule shallower or something.
