    I don't know if it applies here, or not, but sometimes a break in the insulation will cause a change in the color of a ceiling. It's because one portion is colder and will attract moisture.

    Long ago, when I was doing some backpacking, I had one of them about 12" from my head, with that needle like beak focused on my right eye, flying backwards to keep pace with me. Right about then, a small shotgun would have made my day.
