    I have it in a metal box. Mine is a manual. Don't know about the op's. 280mah I doubt it would be able to blow up now as it is almost completely drained. I guess I should check on it maybe I can try to charge it again if it is drained. I'll hook it up to the tree outlet way out in the back yard.
