Flooding means too much juice in the coil . You getting gurgling and maybe some juice in your mouth? How's the draw?

Don't rub your eyes, my phone took this pic. You can see where the wires meet. This a vivi nova coil with nr wire. Without nr or another solution, the rubber gasket burns because the whole wire gets hot. I do have scorch marks on my original ones but not on the new ones.

The last 1 I looked at was definitely a fat leg soldered onto the skinnier coil wire. I still got it, maybe a pic will do.

I never noticed that cotton balls wick so well in normal use and I haven't tried it in an ecig. Gauze gets soaked easier in normal use. I have seen a page linked from somewhere in this thread where some have debraided the gauze. By golly, they even made a device for it.. You can experiment...

Make the leg wires extra long, fold it over so it's doubled, twist it tight. You have halved the resistance +-. Only the coil will heat up now. The video still applies, gives you a good look at the innards and the rebuild process, just make your legs doubled or use nr wire.

I am liking the new Vivi Nova's right out of the box. There is break in period. seems every atty or cart has one, but then they vape like mad. Vision Vivi Nova, Part 2 - Changing Wick (COTTON) & Final Impressions - YouTube The new 2.5 have nr wire for the legs and you are going to want this when...

Minor problems with Apollo LT and a Vivi Nova V2

Pull the middle pin out a smidge with a paper clip or similiar inserted in the hole in the center pin. This is not an uncommon problem with ecigs but it is a common solution.

    vivi nova modders

It's a version 2 from Health Cabin from a couple of weeks ago at a time when they were touted as the newest version. I finally got around to the 2.8 ohm and it's the first time I noticed the nr wire. The other 2 had left scorch marks on the rubber so they must not have been nr. I guess I got a...

Introducing the 2.4ml Ego- changeable coil Cartomizer at Stormy's!

Day 2: 3.6 to 3.7 volts delivers the bananas  My room smells like a fruit stand when I walk back in. A definite improvement, I must say.3 Still great vapor, a winner for sure.

Introducing the 2.4ml Ego- changeable coil Cartomizer at Stormy's!

I have mine and 5 replacement heads. I can take this one with me, slim, and the ego twist is perfect. First hit was a volcano, really tons of vapor, This ejuice hasn't come through for me yet in anything I've tried it on so I can't comment on flavor except to say no negatives. Hmm, vv . let's...

The new heads use nr wire for the leads. I took one off and was surprised to see it but I was on my 2.8 ohm and wanted lower. I saved the coil for something sometime. I haven't had a stock atty fail yet. I replace them only for the fun of it and the cotton. I use nr wire too and find them...

    My new V-mod XL 2.0

11 or so coils does look nice. It should be low resistance hopefully. I haven't put anything in the Vmod XL that hasn't worked well. I am going thru an HH.357 now and am slowly getting away from the dratty's . Pain avoidance works wonders for motivation. :-x

Personal Log: AERO 510 Bridgeless Atomizer by Bogey

From the pics, the Aero has a different mesh and no visible solder in the cup. The best method I have found is vinegar and baking soda. Brings my hybrid 2.0 to a virtually new appearance and performance. There is a you tube video. Another intersting one is using denatured alcohol. Another video...

who says that VMOD XL is the best bottom feeder on the earth ?

My HH.357 arrived a few days after the Vivi Nova. How is it working for you? I'm no coil guru, but due to my 10 thumb affliction I think I am settling for anyhing that becomes an atty at reasonable ohms. The stock Vivi 1.8 was better than the hybrid 2.0 with Boba's Bounty but I think that is...

who says that VMOD XL is the best bottom feeder on the earth ?

My cotton just never burns. It stays soaking wet. I've wrapped coils too tight with uneven gaps and nothing burns. It all wicks and stays wet. Cotton holds more juice then silica and wicks it up better. You can read this thread for other's experiences...

    Atomizer coil issues

If the wire heats up at the posts, you need nr wire between the coil and posts, or double the wire section form the coil to the post , fold it over and twist it. This will reduce the resistance in that section leaving only the coil to heat up. I recommend cotton wick, untreated and unwaxed 1/0...
