sounds like what happened to mine. only $25 for a new board and shipping both ways? that's not bad. maybe put a small black mark somewhere on the old battery with a sharpie to make sure they changed it when you get it back. i actually emailed VS last night to see if they had an extended warranty...- AtmizrOpin

does escribe recognize the device with a different cable? if so, there is an option under the 'mod' tab inside of 'manufacturers settings'. there's a box that u check if you're using an external battery charger. with that box checked, it disables the onboard charger. you still get the lightening...- AtmizrOpin

in the 75 escribe you have to run battery analyzer if you want the specific curve of any battery. you cannot just input the watt hours like the 200. kinda sucks but oh well.- AtmizrOpin

i love my both my waidea flasks. one is silver with the stock board and upgraded FDV 510. the other is my black waidea flask with the evolv dna 40 and FDV 510 guts only (to make the stock spring loaded). the black flask gets used more because.......well it's that much closer to the authentic...- AtmizrOpin

the ryan boards were the closest 1:1 board that I found at that time of release. they did have their quirks but all around not a horrible board. did the job just fine with kanthal, Ni and Ti (with temp offset). my silver waidea still works fine. a little nicer, aesthetically, with the FDV 510...- AtmizrOpin

i've noticed on my VS 200 the finished is holding up quite well (always in a shark skin). VS's customer service is great. gotta love the 2 amp charging, who wouldn't. only nit pick is the screen cover plastic quality. it scratches easily. way more easily than the screen covers on my VS 40's.- AtmizrOpin
