    are trying to regulate the temp of kanthal or are you just using it for the preheat feature of tc? i'm just curious as to why you run kanthal in tc mode. it won't do any temp regulation with kanthal. i don't see a problem running kanthal in tc. it'll just be telling the board it's not reaching temp.

    you should find out if the copper you're seeing also plating. so i'm guessing it's chrome plated copper, brushed to look like SS? who knows, if you keep sanding you might find milk chocolate plating, bonus, yum!

    what do each of the batts read when this problem occurs? in escribe's device monitor and with a seperate multi meter. you're géting check batter or weak battery? a premature weak battery message would mean your watt hours are set incorrectly and you really should run batt analyyzer for yourself...

    you could be getting check battery message because of the dna reuleaux's way of doing reverse batt protection. the circular lips of the positive terminals on the sled sometimes keep one or two of the batteries from making full contact. rotate your batts around and while in the mod's sled spin...

    ok so there's obviously a big ramp time. makes sense because the heating element has so much mass and being covered in, sintered in, whatever material they're calling it. but since this can be used on a tc device, (no idea what type of wire is used ie TCR number?) maybe that ramp ramp up time...

    i have no idea how the stock board works. i received my clownstick in non working condition. i replaced the broken board in mine with an evolv dna 40. make sure if you buy a heatsink it's 22 mm in diameter. i think 23 is the max on the mod.
