Yeah good video thats how I plan on running my Z atty when I get it. Never had much luck with regular coils in a genny with mesh. When it worked it was great but too much hassle for me.Since then only been wrapping micros for Reos and small drippers for wife so cant wait to try this out.
Ive never had chance to try a micro in a genny yet. I learned about micros once switching to Reos but have first Provari and Z atty on the way so super excited to get that up and running micro style.
Yeah nail seems ok. Try wrapping new coil with very tight wraps right next to each other .Then mount it and fire it up and squeeze them tight like I do.Make sure to fire very hot ,release button then squeeze. That will tighten up the coils and then we can help with the wicking .
Heres mine on smok squid that was made for bottom feeding my Reo but same as other small RDAs as far as setting up. Not to much cotton and not to little and very tight together wraps.
I recommend wrapping a micro coil.Very tight wraps all next to each other .Thats what I use and can help you learn to set up easiest .
I would do it with the dripping atty since it will be more simple to do and wick.
I will post pic for you to see what mine looks like give me a few mins ok .
I dont use genesis style attys anymore but with the cotton that is a lot ! You would want it just a little out of top of coil and not all the way down in the tank either .
I wont comment on silica since I dont use it .
You are more than likely having issue with hot spots due to the coils and...
Cool sounds good man .
What are you wrapping coils around ? I use 14 and 16 gauge needles .It sounds like your coil might be super small and is causing wicking issues.
Should have better idea when we see pics :) Dont worry man we will figure it out and get you vaping like a champ !
I had...
So true LOL
Have first Provari on the way and couple ZAPS so Im sure Ill be knee deep in juices/wick/wire by then but after that I swear it will be clean :D
I just spent past hour or so cleaning and organizing all my stuff.
My DIY stuff is insane.Finding flavors I forgot I had buried in boxes and empty bottles all over the place.
I swear this is last time it will get like this
Check out the micro coil thread to see how much cotton people are using .I would wrap 12 wraps of the 30 into a nice tight micro and use cotton wick and give that a try. After you wrap the coil and mount it trim your legs and fire it up and squeeze gently on the coil with tweezers or pliers to...
What device are you using? Also make sure your airhole is lined up with your coil.I dont have too much knowledge with silica but with cotton less is more. You want it to be just slightly snug in the coil. Not to loose or tight and again air hole placement is very important.
