USB charger built in for nicostick

Sounds good to me. I think I'll just go ahead and incorporate it into my next nicostick and time how long till the green light says it's charged from dead. And of course wait for your thread. Thanks for all the help.

USB charger built in for nicostick

True True. Thats my thought on the low mA through these chargers. Might try to get a closeup pic for you to inspect. Otherwise i'd need to build a board around the VA7205 or settle for a trickle charge.

USB charger built in for nicostick

"Or, if measure voltages, all relative to IN-, pin3 should be 0v and pin 8 would be the same as IN+. " IN- to pin3 0v, IN- to pin8 4.26 v, In- to In+ 5.42v I know it's frustrating working with me

USB charger built in for nicostick

"Where it says 'R5' on the board is next to pin5 of the chip. Does that pin (pin 5) connect to the transistor (the three-pin black thing)?" Yes as far as i can tell Ground (-) to pin 3 and +IN to pin 8; right? Believe so, whats the easiest way to check If so, looks to me like this chip is a...

USB charger built in for nicostick

Let me go find my magnifying glass and get to it. I see no problem hooking everything together the way it is. Just want to wait until all the info is on the board to see if the mah is fixed for charging.

USB charger built in for nicostick

This is a continuation of a post of mine on the thread discussing the nicostick. I wanted to make a seperate thread to keep the other one uncluttered. Yeah, I need to get a magnifying glass to read the info off the main chip. No time cutoff that I know of. I'm including some pics for...

    Discussing the NicoStick

I'm going to start a new thread to discuss what I have brought up. Hopefully to not add clutter to this current thread. That and it's not exactly to discuss the nico but to try to mod it. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/25681-usb-charger-built-nicostick.html#post404039

    Discussing the NicoStick

Right, the circuit board will just barely fit. I decided not to put it in the 2 nicoboxes I just finished up. Maybe next time. I'm sure it will charge the 3.7v 14500 but not sure how long it would take with the low ma output. Guess it one of those wait 2 weeks for my batteries to get here...

    Discussing the NicoStick

Yeah the specs sorry. 4.2v at 100ma. I guess the problem would be the low ma. I'm sure I'll get an actual charger for the 14500. It's not a money issue. Just that I can fit the charger from my 401 inside my nicostick and was thinking about taking off the usb cable end and adding a small...

    Discussing the NicoStick

I have a question. Would my 401 battery charger be compatible (after a slight modification) and or supply enough power to charge the protected 14500?
