The Poldiac Fan Club
Miriam, not only can it be used as a dripper but it also uses a reservoir that holds about 3ml of juice, similar to the Spheriod (no idea if I'm spelling that correctly). They also make a smaller version that is just for dripping that holds about 1ml. -

It's a bit of a balancing act to have good contact and have a flush mount. It can definitely be done, but what happens is that every time you unscrew the atty, the positive screw screws in a tiny bit, and that's enough to lose the connection. Set up a second rope wick. This time I boiled it first and it tastes perfect! Also, this is the first time I've been able to use any genesis atty with the fill hole screw in place. There's no question that the rope wicks much better than any mesh.- Pete54

Got my 7x19 5/32" ss rope today and set up a coil. I torched it red hot for about 3-4 full minutes. I added a small piece of oxidized 500 mesh to the top for the coil. 3/2 wrap of 0.6 ribbon giving me 0.7Ω. So far, and I've only been using it for 30 minutes, it is wicking great. This is what I bought. 316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope 7x19 3 32" | eBay It's 3/32" or 2.38mm. No ohm limit but use good high drain batts like AW. You must have a dead short being created to fry the spring though. Screwing the adjustable positive post with a metal screwdriver will not cause a short unless you're pushing the firing button at the same time which I'm quite sure you're not doing.
