Hey uke, I hear ya! Some genny's are a bear to get up and running. That's kinda why I stick to fatties :tongue:. 20mm is as small as these old eyes can handle and I'm trying to snag some 22mm ones while I wait for Jim to come out with his. The center post inside the tank is actually part of the negative side. The pin inside the post (which is insulated from the post itself is positive. That being said, if the wick is properly oxidized, it won't matter what it touches. If your wick is straight it shouldn't come close to touching...- Pete54

Pocket friendly Rebuildable, suggestions please?
Any Genesis RBA will leak. Even with the fill hole closed, it will leak slowly through the wick. Now if you make a solid wick that fits tightly into the wick hole it will still leak but VERY little. You could go with a dripper RBA and substitute the silica wick with ss mesh. Can't recommend any...- Pete54

Aga-T2 liquid becoming dark
I put a core of 3mm silica inside my ss mesh wicks and this cuts down the darkening backwash significantly. This also allows you to use less ss mesh which, due to a reduced heat sink affect, creates a more instantaneous hit. Another benefit is that I extend the silica about an 1/8" out the...- Pete54

CW. Do me a favor please? Can you take a voltage reading with a mm holding the leads against the positive and negative posts while firing, and then a reading between the pv and atty like you did above and share what you get?
